Fleet Controller

We are now looking to recruit a super talented Fleet Controller to our team in Oslo. 

Höegh LNG holds the leading position in the floating LNG industry, and the outlook for the company has never been brighter than now.

It is an exciting time to join Höegh LNG, as we continue our growth while having high aspirations together with enthusiastic colleagues worldwide.

Being part of Operations division, Fleet Management provide the whole range of ship management services for the Höegh LNG fleet. In addition, we deliver ship management services for vessels where Höegh LNG has part ownership. Currently we have 15 vessels under management, FSRUs, LNGCs and Small-scale LNG vessels.

Joining us as our new Fleet Controller you´ll be responsible for the control, reporting and forecasting of operating expenses (OPEX). This requires continuous analysis of cost drivers and trends to be able to communicate the various developments of the OPEX to internal and external stakeholders.
We consider the role to be particularly interesting as you will collaborate closely with different functions both inside and outside the company.


Hoegh LNG is determined to improve its financial control and reporting, and the Fleet Controller will also participate in a dedicated internal project team for developing new and improved tools and processes.

 

What do you need to know for this position?

With regards to education, we expect a 3–5-year relevant higher education (bachelor) as a minimum, and a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience.

 

Fluency and proficiency in both written and spoken English.

  • Experience with financial reporting, preferably from maritime/shipping operations
  • Understanding of cost structure and drivers from the operation of LNGCs and FSRUs is an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • Knowledge of financial controls/internal controls
  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools is a strong advantage. Experience with report- and dashboard design and development
  • Passionate about structuring reports and overviews for communicating numbers.  
  • Ability to drive change, deliver on our improvement agenda and transform the way we work.
  • Advanced MS Excel expertise and interest in developing management reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools is a strong advantage.
  • Good interpersonal skills, balance firmness and flexibility are personal qualities that we expect and value.
