Head of Accounting
Wilhelmsen Accounting Services AS (WAC) offers accounting services to some of the companies within The Wilh. Wilhelmsen Group. WAC was established in 2013 and has defined ambitions for growth, inside as well as outside the group.
The Head of Accounting has the overall responsibility to Manage and develop Wilhelmsen Accounting Service AS, including manage, delegate and facilitate the day to day work within WAC.
The role is scoped to be a senior position with the sole responsibility for executing WAC’s strategy and operational plans.
The position reports formally to Board of Directors, in addition be a part of WWH Reporting & Control team, WW ASA Corporate Control team and WWH treasury team.
As a leader, the Head of Accounting must be able to set performance objectives targets and at the same time empower, inspire and motivate his/her team. In this context, communication skills are of the utmost importance.
The perfect candidate for this role:
The ideal candidate is still on an upward trajectory in his/her career and with a proven potential to take on a larger role. The candidate should have extensive experience from leadership roles – preferably from a similar position in a Shared Service Company/Consulting Company.
To take on this role we expect the candidate to have the following critical experience:
- Authorisation as an external accountant (Authorised by The Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway (Finanstilsynet)).
- Extensive expertise on International Financial Reporting Standards
- Outstanding Computer skills (Web/Excel/Word and accounting software)
- Is independent, but also an excellent team player
- Has ambition and strong desire to succeed in developing/growing the business
