System Maintenance Responsible, SharePoint Specialist

For our client, Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics, we are seeking System Maintenance Responsible, SharePoint Specialist

Responsibility & Authority

The SMR for SharePoint is responsible for:

  • Driving the implementation, enhancement and decommissioning of the information technology assets that support the SharePoint platform:
  • Increase business productivity of this strategic platform
  • Streamline appearance and processes for ease of maintenance
  • Coordinate Business requirements to adopt the best fit common denominators for efficiencies cross platform
  • Impact analyses for projects and changes in general
  • Developing WWL adoption of SharePoint roadmap in collaboration with the IT Applications and Operations teams i.e. drive life cycle planning and upgrades
  • Directing and supporting both internal resources and vendors in the delivery of systems and support
  • Supporting business leaders to ensure that their processes align with optimum use of existing capabilities
  • Managing, developing and motivating resources within the “modus operandum” of IT within WWL

The SMR for SharePoint has the Authority:

  • To prioritize development and enhancements for the SharePoint platform
  • To accept or reject the functionality delivered by the application support and development team
  • Set and accept the service levels defined by the IT Operations team

Competence requirements:

  • High commitment to quality
  • Extensive “hands on” experience with SharePoint also on SQL level. It’s not and extensive “doer” role as such, but all impact and consequences must be understood for any changes suggested or executed.
  • Relevant MS certifications
  • Ability to think and act strategically, tactically and operationally
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to present and persuade at all levels of the organization
  • articulate requirements to both business and technical communities
  • win in cross-functional & cross-cultural environments
  • Excellent collaboration, leadership and stakeholder management skills in order to build effective relationships and drive team performance
  • Demonstrated project and change management skills in order to organize, plan, and execute large-scale projects from vision through implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors and vendors
  • Strong understanding of the information, processes and systems that support the business
  • Ability to conceptualize problems/opportunities, integrate processes and create solutions
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand new requirements, techniques, tools and solutions
  • Strong supplier management skills including experience and understanding of outsourced environments
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL processes
  • Deep technical understanding of : Databases, Data Definition Languages and Data Structures, Messaging and Integration Technologies, Programming Languages, Internet Technologies,
  • Application Servers, Infrastructure and Infrastructure Services
