About the employer

Since 1926, Teknotherm has been a trusted provider of advanced refrigeration, freezing, and HVAC-R solutions for demanding marine environments across the maritime, offshore, and renewable energy sectors. The company serves a diverse customer base, including naval and government vessels, cruise ships, ferries, fishing vessels, luxury yachts, offshore wind installations, and zero-emission vessels.

Headquartered in Lysaker, Norway, Teknotherm operates offices in Halden, Ålesund, and Bergen, supported by subsidiaries in Gothenburg (Sweden), Szczecin (Poland), and Vigo (Spain), as well as an extensive global network of agents in strategically important markets. Its comprehensive offering spans new installations, retrofits and conversions, spare parts, and worldwide service and aftermarket support.

Teknotherm is part of the Netherlands-based Heinen & Hopman Group (Salor) and operates in accordance with the Group's established frameworks for business ethics, sanctions compliance, and whistleblowing.

Guided by its motto, “Through History We Create the Future,” and its core values of Trust, Innovation, Knowledge, and Accountability, Teknotherm combines nearly a century of industry expertise with continuous innovation, engineering excellence, and operational flexibility. Through its integrated engineering, manufacturing, and service capabilities, the company delivers reliable, safe, and energy-efficient solutions tailored to complex operational requirements.

Sustainability is a strategic priority, with a strong focus on improving energy efficiency, transitioning to lower-impact refrigerants, advancing heat recovery solutions, and reducing CO₂ emissions. Teknotherm maintains ISO 9001 certification in Norway and Poland, ISO 14001 certification, and F-gas certification, reflecting its commitment to quality, environmental management, and regulatory compliance.

As expectations from customers, shareholders, and regulatory authorities continue to intensify, particularly regarding regulatory compliance, export controls, transparency, and sustainability reporting, a robust, integrated Compliance and ESG function is increasingly critical. Beyond ensuring regulatory adherence and mitigating risk, such a function represents a strategic enabler of operational resilience, stakeholder confidence, and long-term competitive advantage.
